Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition is a woman-run, volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization dedicated to solving the problem of cat homelessness in NYC. We do this through rescuing and rehoming homeless cats, addressing the root causes of homeless cat overpopulation, providing affordable spay/neuter services for rescuers and underserved communities, and supporting and advocating for the individuals and small rescue groups that are rescuing cats from the streets of New York City. Since opening in 2016, our community adoption and rescue space Brooklyn Cat Cafe has welcomed 150,000 visitors from around the world.
