"The purpose of the Foundation is: 1) to develop, promote, and disseminate in the field of Latin America and the Caribbean, Human Resources training activities and research in the areas of Telecommunications, Computing, Computer Networks and computing in general, in any of its manifestations. 2) Design, research and development plans on technology transfer, with the purpose of facilitating scientific and technical progress in Latin America and the Caribbean. For such purposes, the Foundation will have the following functions: A) Carry out activities that contribute to the development of research or the training of researchers, such as courses, workshops, seminars, symposiums, conferences and national and international conferences. B) Providing services of assistance, advice, assistance, guidance and research, by commission of natural or legal persons, public or private, in the areas of Telecommunications, Computing, Computer Networks and computing in general. C) Promote before public and private, national and international organizations, the purposes and objectives of the Foundation, as well as carry out activities aimed at the achievement of donations, contributions or financing to achieve such purposes or objectives. D) Design, produce, reproduce by graphic, audio-visual and/or electronic means, informative, educational and formative materials, related to the nature, objectives and purposes of the Foundation, as well as the perception of emoluments for the sale of the materials mentioned here. E) To conclude contracts or agreements with public or private organizations, national or multilateral, with similar foundations in relation to any matter related to the achievement of the purposes and objectives of the Foundation. F) Administer the economic funds generated by the Foundation's activities."
