Fundraiser - Valencia's flash floods
At the end of October 2024, Spain's Valencia region was hit by severe flash floods, with relentless rains sweeping through cities, towns and rural areas alike. In some areas a year's worth of rain poured in a single day which led to terrible consequences for locals and infrastructures.
These conditions have left several areas completely isolated, with no access to electricity, gas or clean water. Torrential rains have cut off entire communities making it difficult for families to receive essential supplies and emergency care. Roads are blocked, power lines are down, and emergency response services are overwhelmed by the attention needed.
The lack of access to basic utilities is putting vulnerable populations at high risk, especially the elderly and children.
