Between July 4 and July 6, 2025, heavy rainfall and catastrophic flooding devastated multiple communities across Central Texas. In the early morning hours of July 4th, the Guadalupe River rose more than 20 feet in just one hour, displacing thousands of families and causing widespread damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure—including Camp Mystic, a summer camp for young girls. More than 80 deaths have been reported, and many remain missing as additional flash flooding is expected across the state. Relief efforts are actively underway, with several nonprofit organizations on the ground working collaboratively with local community leaders and officials to provide essential relief resources including food, water, shelter, medical care, and search and rescue services. We are profoundly saddened by the devastating destruction caused by the flooding in Texas’s Kerr County and surrounding areas, resulting in loss of life and intensifying humanitarian needs in the Texas Hill Country.
